His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche was one of the most influential masters of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism in the 20th century. Born in 1904 in the hidden land of Pemakö, southeastern Tibet, he was recognized as the reincarnation of the great tertön Dudjom Lingpa and came from a noble lineage with deep spiritual roots. A prolific scholar, meditator, and revealed-treasure revealer, he preserved and transmitted the complete teachings of the Nyingma tradition during a time of crisis, compiling extensive writings on history, Dharma, and practice. After the Tibetan exodus, he was appointed the first Supreme Head of the Nyingma lineage, helping safeguard its teachings and culture in exile. His life was marked by deep realization, compassion, and unwavering dedication to benefiting beings.
Tulku Thadral Rinpoche has asked Pema Osel Ling to host a three-day (Jan 6-8) Troma Dechö Retreat to honor the parinirvanas of two great masters of the Dudjom Tersar lineage:
His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje and Kyabje Chatral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche
