The Prayer in Seven Chapters to Padmakara

This is the Fire Monkey year, the birth year of Guru Padmasambhava. According to Tibetan tradition, Guru Rinpoche was born on a lotus in Dhanakosha Lake on the tenth day of the Earth Monkey or a Wood Monkey year, of the waxing moon in the monkey month.

The Prayer in Seven Chapters to Padmakara, Ley U Dun Ma is a key text for Tibetan Buddhist. It is a Nyingma terma which contains authentic teachings of Guru Padmasambhava focusing on practice in difficult times.

We will be doing Dorsem Lama Chopa (Vajrasattva) pujas Thursday, August 18 – Saturday, August 20th. Attend as your schedule allows. For more info or to register click here.  If you are not able to attend, Lama Sonam Rinpoche encourages everyone to practice Vajrasattva and recite the Vajrasattva mantra during this special time.

At Pema Osel Ling we will be offering strings of beautiful white lotus lights on the mandala base of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s stupa continuously for the three days of the Dechö.

 

Lama Sonam Rinpoche has said that
“By making light offerings, we are praying not only for the enlightenment of all beings, but especially for the swift rebirth of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche. Light can manifest for many beings to dispel ignorance, bringing incredible merit to ourselves and to all sentient beings. By offering lights, we are praying that the inner light of all beings is joined with infinite light.”
