We’re very honored and delighted that in commemoration of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s seventh dechö parinirvana anniversary, this Saturday, August 1 at 3 pm Pacific Time, Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche (ལྕགས་ཁུང་འཇིགས་མེད་དབང་དྲག)  will offer a teaching inspired by his profound prayer of supplication to Lama Tharchin Rinpoche,
“The Healing Medicine of Faith.”

The fourth descendent of the great Nyingma master Dudjom Lingpa, recognized as the reincarnation of Rigzin Longsel Nyingpo, and an accomplished spiritual teacher, Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche composed the supplication at the request of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s students following his passing. It has been a source of inspiration and connection with the Dzogchen path and wisdom mind of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche and our sublime Dudjom lineage for many of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s heart students.

     The Nang Jang is a collection of Dzogchen (Trekchod) instructions that Dudjom Lingpa received in a series of visionary encounters with various enlightened beings. Dudjom Lingpa remarked that, of his teachings, the “Nang Jang is so powerful that even hearing it read aloud ensures that the listener will eventually escape the suffering of samsara.”

His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, who wrote a structural analysis and outline of this precious text, said, “The Nang Jang was prepared as an inexhaustible treasure trove of the gift of the Buddha’s teachings, the relics of the dharmakaya.”
