Taking Ngondro to Heart

This 14 minute video of Drubpon Pema Rigdzin was taken during the 2019 Annual Ngondro and Personal Accumulation Retreat at the Pema Osel Ling Retreat Center in the Santa Cruz Mountains CA ~ It was the closing remarks of the retreat. Drubpon gives Ngondro Advice along with Amy Green reading Instructions written by HH Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje.

I am reposting this video as an introduction for the upcoming virtual 2021 Annual Ngondro and Personal Accumulation Retreat streaming live from in front of the Guru Rinpoche Statue here at Pema Osel Ling.
You may recall the words of Dudjom Rinpoche about ngondro:

“If there are any wise persons who desire to be completely
freed from the hot torments of the fire pit of samsara,
they should rely on this supreme path, Ngondro,
which, like the king of trees, will revive
one in its cool, dense shade,
enlightenment.”

This preliminary or foundational practice of Vajrayana Buddhism, is a profound and powerful means of affecting transformation through purification and the vast accumulation of merit. This 2021 Annual Retreat includes the opportunity for participants to attend live stream teachings, live stream practice sessions and to receive the Dudjom Tersar Ngondro Oral Reading Transmission aka Lung from Lama Sonam Rinpoche.
