Caring for the Body after Death with Lama Sonam Rinpoche

Just a reminder for two upcoming events about preparing for the end of life, either for yourself or others. We’d be glad for you to join us in these trainings. Click and print flyers.

The first of these day-long programs will be taught by Lama Sonam Rinpoche on August 7th at Orgyen Dorje Den, titled, “Caring for the Body After Death.” The second will focus on the manual ‘Instructions for the Transitional State’, the text used by TLC Transitional Life Care, facilitated by Julie Rogers. This event will be sponsored by Bay Area Tara Mandala Sangha in San Rafael on August 21st.

These trainings are best attended in person, but online streaming will be provided for those who live at a distance or who are ill and/or housebound.

For information about streaming for Lama Sonam Rinpoche’s teaching,
please contact: Isis Hao <isisminghao@gmail.com>.

To inquire about streaming for the Transitional State Forum,
please contact Rosie Kaufman <rosiekaufman10@gmail.com>.

We hope our extended Sangha can come together in this way, in order to provide comfort, spiritual support, and hands on assistance as we experience the truth of impermanance. Please feel welcome to join us in this.

Best wishes, in the Dharma,

Julie Rogers, Director
TLC Transitional Life Care

3rd Anniversary of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s Parinirvana

“After our teacher passes into parinirvana we have an incredible opportunity to connect with their wisdom mind that has been uncovered from the physical elements and has merged with the vast Dharmakaya.”

~ Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, 2012

We hope to see you as we remember our precious lama and leave you with these poignant words Lama Tharchin Rinpoche spoke after Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche’s parinirvana:

“During this time, we can remember Rinpoche’s wisdom, his kindness, how much that has penetrated our mind, how our lives would be inconceivable without him. We can come together and pray… that immediately when this life has set, we can be reborn in the Pureland, that we can practice together and attain fully enlightened Buddhahood – always together.”
